About WRC Developments
WRC Developments Ltd was incorporated in NZ in January 2007 following the migration of company partners Graham Neale and Warren Heath from the UK. Here's where you can find out a bit more about us.
Graham Neale: Graham's career began on BMW's Touring Car development program. He then joined Prodrive as a development engineer on the Subaru WRC program. He worked with, and mapped engines for Juha Kankkunen, Richard Burns, Colin McRae, Petter Solberg and Markko Martin, winning 2 World Championships and 3 Manufacturers Championships. He then moved to MSD to take over development of the Hyundai WRC car with drivers Juha Kankkunen, Freddy Loix and Armin Schwarz. Following Hyundai's withdrawl from rallying in 2003, Graham joined Rampage and concentrated on re-mapping for major manufacturers such as Subaru and Mitsubishi. He developed and mapped Mitsubishi's FQ320, FQ340, FQ360 and the legendary FQ400. He also provided further engineering support for Hyundai and Subaru privateers at many World Championship rallies. In 2005 and 2006, Graham was contracted to Prodrive to provide worldwide on-event engineering support for their FIA GT championship 'Le-Mans' Ferrari 550 and the Aston Martin DBR9 racecar.
Warren Heath: Warren began his career in the engine department of one of the UK's leading Aston Martin specialists. After serving an apprenticeship he moved to specialist engine engineers Oselli Engineering. Two years were spent restoring and supporting historic Formula 1 cars for a private collector before he joined Prodrive as an engine technician. Working on the Subaru WRC program he built engines for Colin McRae, Kenneth Eriksson and Pierro Liatti. In 1999, Warren left Prodrive to form his own company Flow Race Engines Ltd, initially building engines for Subaru WRC, Group A and Group N privateers. In 2002/3 he contracted to the Hyundai World Rally team's powertrain department and then in 2005 his company built all the engines for Mitsubishi UK's FQ400. Prior to moving to New Zealand, he developed and built the Tom Walkinshaw Group's Evo 9 engines and was also contracted to provide engine build services to Prodrive's Projects department. (Warren has returned to the UK for the foreseeable future for personal reasons.)
